I purchased this brush mainly because I adore the Fu-Pa series brushes and this reminds of them. I figured worst case it would be nice on display. I’ve used a few of the Koyudo Heart brushes over the years and didn’t care for them. They were either too sparse or floppy to be useful or the Goat hair was scratchy and pricked my face. That being said I didn’t expect to like this brush as much as I do. The brush head is made with super soft Saikoho Goat that glides across the skin. The ferrule is round and densely packed although it’s not as dense as say the Fu-Pa 01. It’s more airy making it suitable to use for just about anything. Powder, foundation, bronzer or blush. It’s easily does them all. It also excelled at all over blending. The heart shape does not detract from its functionality and you can’t feel it when in use. The “leather“ look is a spray coating and much more attractive in hand than photos show. It also does not detract from the appearance of the brush or compromise integrity. This is a fabulous little brush that I’m happy to have in my arsenal.

Due to its Kawaii (cute) looking, Koyudo uses hair that is more affordable for the younger generation, but this brush is not. You will find it very quality, versatile and functional. This brush can be used for powder product so ideal as a cheek or face brush. It is also fun and kawaii to look at in your brush holder and makes you smile whenever you use it.
Leatherish coated handle. Both the handle and the ferrule are coated with special paint. The bumpy surface looks like a real leather and this special paint makes this brush even more special.
