[Ouchi Lacquered Powder Brush]
Ouchi Lacquerware, a traditional craft of Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Kumano Brush have collaborated to produce a limited number of powder brushes.

The brush is made of the traditional color of Ouchi lacquerware, shiny and vivid "Shu", with a shaft sprayed with gold powder to resemble snowflakes, and gold metal fittings to create a sense of luxury.

The tip of the brush is made of high-grade goat hair, Sokoho.
It has a voluminous and fluffy round shape that allows you to spread the powder evenly on your skin.

Ouchi lacquerware was born as a symbol of the gorgeous Ouchi culture in the Muromachi period (1336-1573), and was treated as an important trading item by the Ouchi clan in Korea and China.

Ouchi lacquerware is mainly represented by bowls, trays, and flower vases, and is characterized by its vermilion color called "Ouchi-ju", "Ouchi-bishi" decorated with gold leaf in imitation of the Ouchi family crest, and autumnal grass patterns.

【大内塗】 室町時代、絢爛豪華な大内文化の象徴として誕生した大内塗は、当時大内氏の朝鮮・シナ大陸における重要な交易品として扱われておりました。 主に、椀や盆、花器などが代表的で、「大内朱」と呼ばれる朱色や大内家の家紋を模して金箔(きんぱく)であしらった「大内菱(おおうちびし)」、秋草模様が大内塗の特徴です。
