Donald Fagen's second solo album, "Kamakiriad," released in 1993, is being reissued in two high-fidelity formats. This work marked his long-awaited reunion with his Steely Dan partner Walter Becker, and has been highly acclaimed as a concept album set in the near future, depicting a protagonist traveling in the futuristic roadster "Kamakiri." It is also an important work that helped lead to the restart of Steely Dan after approximately 20 years. This reissue is produced using the original master source, vividly reproducing the album's intricate ensemble and sophisticated sound through its expansive soundstage, excellent imaging, and rich dynamic range. The SACD is released as a hybrid SACD, making it the definitive edition and a must-have for collectors.
