[Machine Translation] Joshua Redman is a top saxophonist who has quickly risen to the top of the jazz world after winning the Thelonious Monk Competition in 1991 and has been nominated for 11 Grammy Awards. He is the most highly acclaimed and charismatic saxophonist to emerge from the jazz scene in the past 30 years, and this is his first release with the prestigious Blue Note label! This album is his first vocal project and features Gabriel Cavassa on vocals. The young prodigy, who won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2019, which also produced Samara Joy, was selected for this project because of his talent. The concept is "Praise and Critique of America" and consists of 13 original and standard songs about specific places in the United States, such as Chicago, New Orleans, and Alabama. The band also plays Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia" and John Coltrane's "Alabama," among others. The band is made up of Aaron Parks (p), Joe Sanders (b), and Brian Braid (ds).
