Electric Locomotive EX Vol.40 (Ikaros MOOK)

[Machine Translation] The history of the Takasaki Locomotive Depot is revealed in full. This feature explores the history of the Takasaki Locomotive Depot through rare photographs and archival materials. During the final years of the Japanese National Railways (JNR), a plan to establish an electric locomotive museum in Takasaki led to the gathering of rare rolling stock in the city; we interviewed the former Director of Operations at the Takasaki Railway Bureau, who played a central role in that effort. These previously untold stories are a must-see. In addition, we reveal the maintenance log for EF65F No. 515 which served for many years on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines and spent its final years at the JR Freight Takasaki Locomotive Depot and provide a detailed report on the latest developments regarding the EH200, which has long been a familiar sight on the Joetsu Line.
