Description

The Angel's Egg, remastered in 4K to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its creation. Contains 100 carefully selected iconic scenes directly captured in the highest image quality from the 4K main film, along with 100 new epigrams (short poems and aphorisms) written by director Mamoru Oshii himself, presented in both Japanese and English. While praised as an aesthetic art animation, this work has also been described as enigmatic. This unprecedented book allows readers to sensorially perceive the director's deep thoughts and imagination at the time of production, scene by scene. At the end of the book, 100 detailed interviews with director Oshii regarding each scene are included.
