Description

[Machine Translation] Hitomi Nishiyama's latest and long-awaited piano trio album is the fruit of her career to date. The trio, newly formed with Toru Nishijima (bass) and Ryo Noritake (drums), includes nine new original compositions. Hitomi Nishiyama, who started her career with a devotion to European jazz, has been gaining support from jazz fans for the beauty of her melodies and harmonies, as well as her exceptional compositional sense. On five of the nine songs, Takanori Suzuki (clarinet), maiko (violin), and Ryoji Hashizume (tenor saxophone, flute) join the piano trio in the background, making the piano trio more three-dimensional and shaded. The trio is more three-dimensional, deepening the shadows and depicting scenes, sometimes like dots, sometimes like the ebb and flow of the tide. The piano is a Fazioli, and the audience can enjoy its nourishing and warm tone.

Dot /
