This is the first single by Moi Dix Mois with their new lineup, and thus far, the longest single with a total of six songs (three plus three instrumental versions). Lamentful Miss is an amazing song with great guitar work and amazing lyrics...the song, and the entire single, give a somewhat wicked feeling; unholy yet beautiful, sinful yet angelic. Besides Lamentful Miss, Perish and Forbidden have been rerecorded and are included in this single. I have seen quite a few people complain about the "quality" of Perish. Forget what these people say, the quality is great and it sounds better than the original. In all actuality the song has an effect, like an echo,...I'm not sure how to describe it. It makes me think of something ancient and dark, like being in the ruin of a temple. Forbidden blew my mind. I cannot think of any better way to say it, this version of the song is absolutely riveting. Seth's voice is like a god's...and the instrumental work is just amazing. Although I love the original, I much prefer this version of the song. Overall, this was a more than excellent single, and is definitely worth the money (As is anything Mana-sama puts out, in my opinion). Although I heard DIXANADU before any other Moi Dix Mois albums or singles, this (oddly enough) has been the last single I heard, yet it was the first of any Moi Dix Mois releases I purchased, and I love it so much...so what are you waiting for? Buy it!

This CD is simply amazing. I had pre ordered it waaaay back when and I'm barely writing a review xD Anyway, I was very happy with it. I got a poster too :>

It's a good song , i don't like to much Seth's voice but anyway, i really don't like it at anything about remakes of the old songs

I've listened to this before I bought the CD. The song Lamentful Miss is quite good. I think that the re-arranged version of Perish sounds good. I like both version of forbidden and I can't really decide which one I like. I think that the vocals in the songs are really good.

Nothing to say, love it. Everything is hot, as always. The remix of Perish is really something. You all ought to buy it.

Personally, I think this is a perfect single. Lametful Miss is a great song with guitars, and then you get 2 perfect "remixes" of previous Juka era Moi dix Mois song. People complained about the sound quality of Perish, but I believe it is intended to be this way to resemble old Italian horror movies. What really tops the single of is that you get the instrumentals as well, giving you 6 tracks for one single. A bargain.

Even though Lamentful Miss was an okay song, it didn't deserve to become a single. The reason why it sounds different is because Mana put the focus on the guitars, which he never does. And Perish, it sounds like all the members did LSD and recorded it. It's really dreary, but they did ok. The problem is Forbidden. Yeah i said it. The guitar is choppy, like it's being strummed by a woodpecker. And what's going on with K? Seriously, what up with his vocals? It sounds like Mana punches him in the stomach right before he shouts....Seth, my little angel, I can barely hear your beautiful voice. Did he record his vocals in an empty swimming pool? At least he doesn't make any moronic attempts at death growls *cough* Juka *cough*. Anyways, it was an ok single, needs more work though.

moi dix mois is leaving the 'visual-kei' thing behind, entering on the gothic metal business. still making good songs, but their 1st work was better.

Now we are Beyond the Gate, and have entered into a new world, as ordained by Mana-sama.For a single, this song is perhaps weak compared to others that could have been used.But I for one enjoy it immensely when the mood takes me. I was never a fan of ex-vocalist Juka, but Seth provides a solid accompaniment to Mana's grand compositions (or should I say endeavors?). His is a voice of experience! this will forever be one of my favorite Moi Dix mois singles.

Lamentful Miss The song is okay. I found it to be kind of repetitive and Seth sounds flat and boring. Not there worst, but definitely not their best. Perish It sounded like it was recorded in a cave or a submarine. xD Again Seth's voice is flat and boring. I like the original much better. Juka's voice suits this song more. Forbidden This is definitely the best song on the single. The guitar is heavier and Hayato really gives life to it with the live drums (better then the drum machine used in the original version). & Seth's death yells are WAY better than Juka's. Overall I was kind of disappointed with this release. Although I understand that this was Mana's first new release with a full new band and it was probably experimental-ish. :O I feel like Lamentful Miss should be a regular song on an album and not a single. Forbidden is the real leading track. P.S. The cover is really neat. & the poster it came with was cool too. :D

Well i'm not the best fan of Moi dix Mois but this single should be mine, the songs and also the poster is GREAT, Mana is a very good composer

This ist just an amazing cd! I love it. It creates a wonderful, mysterious and dark atmosphere, which is simply beautiful. I just can say: Buy it, you will have no regrets!!

Lamentful Miss - what can I say? It seems like a lot of people love it, and a lot of people hate it (it's just a matter of taste, really). I am one of the ones who love it. Seth is a great vocalist - no doubt on that. The only thing on this single that bugs me is the drumming in the beginning of "perish", which seems a bit... well, odd. The poster was nice and big, I love to have it up on my wall. ^_^

This single is really amazing. Mana and the gang really outdid themselves this time. The new song Lamentful Miss is just awesome, and the dual guitars really make this song go. The other two songs that come on the single are really cool as well, they are older songs redone, but much better than the original versions. I'd recommend it to any fan of Mana, whether you were a fan of Malice Mizer or are a fan of Moi Dix Mois. It's truly a cool single. The new singer Seth does an awesome job, and really fits in with the group. I definatly look forward to future works from the new Moi Dix Mois and totally recommend this cd. Plus, the poster of Mana that came with the limited edition is pretty nice if you know what I mean hahaha. Anyways, this is a must buy for visual kei fans, fans of Mana, or just fans of awesome J-Music.

Another awesome CD to my collection by Mana-sama.The music is awesome as always,the cover of it was beautiful,and the poster is amazing.I love seeing it on my wall. =3 But yeah,awesome work as always Mana-sama. <3

I really like the new single. it has got a different style from the other M10M's realeases, but I enjoyed it! The title track is AWESOME - great vocals and bass. The booklet is pretty too and the poster is just pure love!

Lamentful Miss is without any doubt the worst single by Moi dix Mois. I am not fond of Seth, Mdm'new singer, but I liked it on Beyond the Gate. But this single is poor, only one new song and this song is repetitive & not extraordinary. The re-arranged versions of Forbidden and Perish don't fit Seth's voice at all & the sound, more "metal", makes me regret the old versions which were melodic & beautiful. It's a waste of money.
