Thunder. Lightning. Strike (20 Year Anniversary Edition)

[Machine Translation] The Brighton, England band led by Ian Parton, The Go! Team, a Brighton, England band led by Ian Parton. Team, led by Ian Parton, released the 20th anniversary edition of their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album, Thunder, Lightning, Strike, an explosion of color and energy that evokes high school athletics, summer days in the city, and the freedom of youth. An explosion of color and energy, this album evokes high school field days, summer days in the city center, and the freedom of youth... two drums, choral chants, guitars like air-raid sirens, record-scratching sounds, and powerful melodies: the maximalist sound of this six-piece group has been ignored since its release in 2004. Recorded in the basement of Ian Parton's parents' house, the album retains a grating, DIY aesthetic despite its massive, ambitious scale. This two-CD 20th anniversary edition is packaged with a reproduction of the original CD-R version, documenting bandleader Ian Parton's unique approach. This final reissue celebrates the fact that this album, which sounded dated and nostalgic for the future back in 2004, still sounds as unique and uncategorizable 20 years later as it did when it first appeared.
