TOKYO CITY POP -New Standard- [Limited Release]

[This product is a cassette tape. It can only be played on a cassette player.] Selected by music writer Hitoshi Kurimoto, this compilation centers on urban, cool city pop that complements Tokyo night views and drives on the Metropolitan Expressway. Reflecting the movement following the city pop revival of the 2010s, it offers a fresh take on city pop in the broadest sense, ranging from standard classics to fusion, disco boogie, and idol pop. With the resort atmosphere kept to a minimum, the selection also caters to international demand by including songs that went viral overseas, songs with high numbers of plays on YouTube and streaming services, and sampled tracks. The cover features artwork by Hiroshi Nagai, an artist synonymous with city pop. This compilation is released from an unprecedented perspective. Comes with a sleeve case.
