[METAL MASTERS SERIES 第2弾!] ヨーロッパの名盤をデジタルリマスターでリリース!! 1983年発表。スウェーデンが生んだハード・ロック・グループ、ヨーロッパのデビュー・アルバム。79年、FORCEというバンド名でデビュー。82年EUROPEにバンド名を変更し、83年2月1stアルバム「EUROPE/幻想交響詩」リリース。地元スウェーデンではある程度の人気を得るが、ヨーロッパを最初に見出し、ブレイクのきっかけを作ったのはなんと日本のファンだった! 83年春～夏にかけて日本において"SEVEN DOORS HOTEL"が爆発的ヒット。それまで北欧メタルというシーンは皆無だったところ、この曲をきっかけとして大注目されていった、ある種エポックメイキングなアルバムといえる。この作品、決して「セブン・ドアーズ・ホテル」だけでなく、北欧らしい強烈な憂いを秘めたキャッチーな楽曲が数多く収録されている。歌詞対訳付き。
