AKG's most underrated album 5

This is AKG's most underrated album by a large standard. Coming off of the uplifting Sol-fa, Fanclub is a record of hopelessness and desperation, featuring the band's most complex instrumentation punctuated by some of Ijichi Kiyoshi's best work on drums, and Masafumi Gotoh's most playful songwriting.

This CD is definitely different from their past CD's such as Kimi Tsunagi Five M and Sol-fa. In this CD, there are a few different styles of music used, which actually helps to make all of the songs unique and different. This is a very nice quality, because it means that you aren't hearing similar sounding songs throughout the entire CD. I personally like those kinds of CD's because they don't bore me or lose my interest. The only thing that I thought was way out there for their band was Tight Rope, which is kinda old-school country sounding slightly, and I personally don't like country (Really, I don't, I even gag when I hear a country song, that's how much I dislike it). I like the lyrics though for the song. Some of the songs sound kinda popularish though(World Apart, Butterfly, Senseless, Gekkou, Sakurasou), and even kinda non-hardcore emo(well, definitely lyrical-wise if not muscially). Ok, I'll be silent now. (I forgot to write a review when I bought it.)

Amazing 5

This is an excellent album from AKFG. Sure it doesn't have anything like Rewrite or Haruka Kanata but it DOES have World Apart which is an awesome song. The first time I heard it, it blew me away. The other songs are pretty fine too making this a good buy for any J-rock fan.

Must buy for J-Rock fans 5

A pretty good successor to Sol-fa, the album gives you awesome singles like Blue Train & World Apart and Blackout, which was only available through the NANO-MUGEN compilation, but also gives some A-side caliber tracks like Senseless and Butterfly. Though I think their Blue Train b-side 'Road Movie' should've made the cut. Still a great album though. Oh and it's FANCLUB.

Shaken and strirred! 4

After perfecting the formula on 2004's "Solfa", AKFG tries a few new tricks. This one has the band experimenting with unusual arrangements and new sounds, resulting in some of their most brilliantly crafted songs. Highly recommended for AKFG fans!

Mixing it up 5

This one seems a little more diverse than their last one, with more different sounds and song structures. "Senseless" particularly blows me away. It's all over the place in a good way.

COMPLETELY AMAZING!!! 5

This CD is awesome, just like all the other Asian Kung-Fu Generation CDs! I would recommend it to any fan of theirs, or anyone who likes great rock music. This is a CD that you buy to listen to and enjoy every song, many times over, unlike most CDs, which only have one or two good songs on them.

This is a really awesome kung-fu cd. Its not as rock out like sol-fa, but this cd is really calming and great to listen to. I love the melodies of these songs.
