Description

[Machine Translation] This is the world premiere recording of a rare arrangement of Franck's masterpiece, the Violin Sonata, for solo piano by Alfred Cortot, the work's foremost interpreter. The arrangement is very natural and effective, thanks to Cortot's thorough knowledge of the work. It is much more attractive than Franck's original piano piece. The coupling is a world premiere recording of the legendary virtuoso Friedman's arrangement of the organ piece "Prelude, Fugue and Variations" for solo piano.
