Michael Cimino's directorial debut is a super-action masterpiece by Clint Eastwood of "Dirty Harry" and a hidden American New Cinema masterpiece! Jeff Bridges was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The theme song is "Show Me the Way Home" by Paul Williams. --Thunderbolt, who made a name for himself with his spectacular 20-millimeter machine gun attack on a bank vault, is being hunted by his former comrades, who believe he has absconded with their money. Then, Thunderbolt meets a young man named Lightfoot, and they form a partnership. One day, they head for the elementary school where they hid the money they once robbed, only to find that the school has been replaced by a new building. They are detained by their former comrades, and together they make a plan to rob the same bank they robbed in the past....
