this is yet another great saxon release, if you liked the last 3 saxon discs then im sure you will like this one to, this is quite heavy with great awesome guitar work, this has a bit of a modern sound to it but is still classic saxon when you come down to it, the only thing i did not like about this was the duet biff did with that death metal vocalist on one track outside of that if you liked (CALL TO ARMS 2011), (SACRIFICE 2013), OR( BATTERING RAM 2015) then you will really like this new thunderbolt disc from 2018, i have been a saxon fan since 1981 now and they have been my favorite metal band since then, of coarse nothing will top what saxon did from 1979 to 1983 but man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they sure have put out 17 or 18 other records since then and some are just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! saxons mistake was going for the us hair metal look/sound starting in 1984 through 1988 it took years for them to bring themselves back up but this record proves THEY HAVE DONE JUST THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! biff byford still sounds as great in 2018 as he did way back in 1979 on the first record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice to see this is the first saxon release from japan since 2009.................
