Shadow of the Colossus is one of the greatest games ever. The soundtrack contributes to the power of this amazing adventure. Kow Otani wrote an impressive orchestrated soundtrack, featuring epic, dark, mystical and sad themes, all contributing to the extraordinary atmosphere of the game. From the soft opening to the emotional ending, you will go through many feelings, but they all share one common point: the greatness Otani gave them. What's more, the packaging is beautiful. A must-buy.

I love the soundtrack for SotC but I do have an issue with the placement of the tracks in the OST. Starting off big and ending with a whimper I think it would have been to put some of the more epic tracks towards the end of the CD rather than having the majority of them in the first half. I found myself listening to the soundtrack and then realising that its no longer playing because the final track has drifted off without me noticiing. Otherwise great stuff if you are a fan of the game but you may need to make your own custom playlist when listening to it!

I ordered this soundtrack as soon as I played the first boss of the game--about two months before the soundtrack was actually released. It was well worth the wait! It's hard to describe the music without bringing up the huge Colossi you have to beat along the way... but each song varies from majestic to menacing in its sound. The entire thing is very well put together and also includes tracks not included in the game. Every song is on this CD and then some. You won't be disappointed.

Kow Otani, has written one impressive soundtrack. The music really captures the ethereal/godly quality that these colossi have. Especially love track 25, it's hard to describe it, but once the choir hits it just really adds beautiful essence A pride is gained for successfully exploiting the Colossus' weakness, which the music adds with heroic/adventerous/conquering quality in the piece.
