Description

[Machine Translation] A deep and rich world of songs inherited from the Griau family. Her mature voice quietly connects the memories of Malian music with the present. This "Tarboro Cura" is her latest work with guitarist/arranger Thierry Fournel, with whom she has collaborated for more than 20 years. The concise and intimate composition of guitars, jeli ngoni, accordion, calabash, and gembri is carefully constructed to highlight Ma Dumba's voice while avoiding excessive embellishment. The mixing was done by Jean Lamoot, who is also known for his work on Salif Keita's "Moffou. A warm and deep sound envelops the entire album.
