Very good edition - booklet, sound etc. But a gave 1 point less because of Cardboard Sleeve which it not thick as it should be on all Japan "Mini-LPs"! Think such things should mentioned in additional info

I was just about two minds when ordering "the old chestnut" legend. So many latest, never-heard-before and the like makes me impervious to any publicity stunts like that. But not this time. It was quite an ear-opener to listen to in its glorious clarity, revealing layers of reverb and ambience that was still captured in this 1969 master.I do intentionally avoid writing about the music. It has been speaking for itself for the decades now. It is the quality that makes you wonder how they managed to do that. Go and grab it when it is still on hand. It is a must.

This extremely well digitally remastered version of Court in a beautifully designed mini-lp sleeve replica package is a real treat for Crimson fans. Not only has the sound been remastered to perfection but the liner notes are also very well designed with lyrics and paper clippings harking to the old days included to boot. I thought the 30th Anniversary version was great but if you can believe it, this version is much better. This would be the godfather of the progressive rock genre. To call it the progenitor of progressive rock would be misleading and incorrect as depending upon how you think about it, even Sgt Pepper's, Velvet Underground's first album and Pink Floyd's Sid Barrett days could all be called progressive rock but still this album is a work of art on it's own and is deserving of all the accolades that it has received to date and continues to receive today. Great opening powerhouse track followed by more mellow Moody Blues-like stuff and ending on a powerful note. Essential listening for music hobbyists and a recording that is seminal and really grows on you. Recommended.

If you want an exactly definition of what you mean with Progressive Rock, this album gives the exactly definition. Songs like 'Epitaph', 'I Talk to the Wind' or 'In The Court of The Crimson King' are considered hymns of the genre. You can hear Robert Fripp as its best an the great velvet style and powerful voice of Greg Lake who formed two years later the super band 'Emerson, Lake & Palmer'. Also you can hear beautiful lines of mellotron and flutes played by Ian McDonald. In few words you can hear a piece of art. The sound of this edition it's great with enfasis in the bass frecuencies. This 20 bits HDCD edition has the best sleeve quality and contains an insert like a signed poster. So if you're a hard core fan you'll be very pleased on having this kind of poster authographed by each musician. Enjoy it.

This is the best sounding version of this classical King Crimson L.P. I have ever heard! The cardboard sleeve is a feast for the eyes too. Do not miss this fantastic Japanese item. It is really worth the price.
