ジェネシス・リヴィジテッド II / スティーヴ・ハケット
自らが在籍しプログレッシヴ・ロック・バンドとして頂点を極めたジェネシス。その楽曲の再録音とライヴでの再現がスティーヴ・ハケットのライフ・ワークの一つである。そのプロローグとして1996年にその第一作をリリースする。ジョン・ウェットンやビル・ブルーフォード、イアン・マクドナルド、トニー・レヴィンといったトップ・ミュージシャンと共にジェネシス時代の様々な楽曲を、ある曲はオリジナルに忠実に、ある曲はオリジナルをより発展させ、ジェネシス&スティーヴ・ハケットのファンは勿論、プログレッシヴ・ロック・ファンに大きくアピールする作品を創りあげる。そして16年後の2012年にその続編を制作。こちらはジェネシスのオリジナル楽曲に加え、自らのソロ楽曲のセルフ・カヴァーで構成されている。そしてジョン・ウェットンやフランシス・ダナリー、スティーヴン・ウィルソン、スティーヴ・ロザリーなど様々なゲスト・ヴォーカリスト&プレイヤーを楽曲によって使い分け、より完成度の高い作品に仕上げている。今回のリリースに伴い、オリジナルマスターから新たに作成した高品質SACDハイブリッド音源として初のリリース。紙ジャケット仕様。英文ブックレット対訳付属。輸入盤国内仕様。
