SUNSHINE & MOONLIGHT [Blu-spec CD2]

The Los Angeles shows were sold out on both days and received rave reviews. The highly anticipated second masterpiece album from the reborn CASIOPEA arrives. Since its striking record debut in 1979, CASIOPEA has remained at the forefront of the fusion scene as one of Japan's leading supergroups. Its sound literally embodies the group's original catchphrase, "thrill, speed, and super technique," combining accessible melodies born from Issei Noro's exceptional compositional ability with extraordinarily technical playing, and establishing a completely new musical identity. The band has produced many classics, including "ASAYAKE" and "DOMINO LINE." The first era ran from the group's formation in 1977 through 1989, followed by the second era from 1990 through 2006. After a six-year hiatus, the band restarted its third era in 2012, its 35th anniversary, under the name CASIOPEA 3rd. From 2022 through 2024, Yoshinori Imai took over drums from Akira Jimbo, beginning the fourth era as CASIOPEA-P4. In May 2025, Jun Abe joined as a new member, and the group returned to its original name, CASIOPEA, for its fifth era. Its first tour with this lineup, "NEW MEMBER's GIG 2025," at Billboard Live Osaka, Billboard Live Tokyo, and Billboard Live Yokohama drew major attention from both music fans and professional musicians. The group released its eagerly awaited first album, "TRUE BLUE," on August 27, 2025, to great acclaim. Following the 2025 winter tour, the spring 2026 Billboard Live tour, and a domestic summer tour, CASIOPEA's Los Angeles performances on September 12 and 13, 2026, sold out both days and earned rave reviews. In December 2026, the group releases its second album, "SUNSHINE & MOONLIGHT," the first since its triumphant return from the United States.
