By chance, he meets Sato, a homeless man who loves movies, and Kajiwara, the manager of Ginpei Scala Theater, a movie theater in a corner of the shopping street, and starts working part-time. Through encounters with the regular customers, who are rich in personality, including fellow staff members, a skilled projectionist, unsuccessful actors and musicians, and even a junior high school student who dreams of making movies, Kondo begins to confront his former self....
