Tokyo no Heroine

[Machine Translation] The long-awaited first DVD release of this sophistcated romance about a woman and a man who are clumsy in love! Koji Shima, the director of "Ginza Can Can Musume" and "Lil' Lil' on the Way Back from Shanghai" directed this romantic comedy. The film depicts a lovely moment just before the fulfillment of love. The film is full of highlights, including the comical performance by the dandyish and witty Masayuki Mori, Yukiko Todoroki as a young editor with a strong independent spirit, and Kyoko Kagawa as the cute younger sister, a ballerina. -- Noriko Pengjo, editor of Fujin Hyojun (Women's Review), is in a hurry to get to Ningen Kigeki Sha (Human Comedy). In her haste, Noriko falls and feels the gaze of a dull man, but decides to ignore him. However, in his hand was a compact that had rolled out of her bag. Noriko managed to get to the building she wanted to go to and saw the dull man who was looking at her. He seemed to be a member of Ningen Kigekisha, and the cheeks of the portrait he had drawn of Noriko were colored with the blush she had seen earlier. The man's name was Minoru Tate and he was the editor of "Ningen Kigeki" (Human Comedy), and it seemed that he was also in charge of Hanako Yoshioka, a popular essayist these days. Noriko visited him because she wanted to have her own serialization of Hanako Yoshioka's essays. Naturally, the Tate was unlikely to give her Ms. Yoshioka's contact information, and when she learned that the Tate was also in charge of novelist Shofu Seimiya, she went to Shofu Seimiya's residence to ask Shofu to write a manuscript for her. Tate, who has taken a liking to Noriko, asks Shofu for some advice after returning her. Noriko, unable to give up on Yoshioka, sends her sister Tomoko to the Human Comedy Company, claiming to be a fan of Yoshioka's... Noriko casually flips through a phone book in a phone booth and finds Hanako Yoshioka's name in it. It is a bar in Ginza. And Hanako Yoshioka has a further secret.
