Last Concert Live

[Machine Translation] The last Paris concert of "Bob Dylan of Kabylia", who has been appealing for Kabylian identity! Kabyle protest singer Renece Matoub, who was assassinated in his native Algeria in June 1998. This 2-CD set is a live album of his last performance in Paris at the Theatre Zenit in January of the same year. Matoub is a protest singer who has been appealing to the identity of the Kabyle people, who constitute the majority of the lower class in Algeria. In his later years, however, he was not only conveying a message in words, but was also creating music on a grand scale with his traditional musical accompaniment and his booming voice. Such charismatic singing of Matubu and his passionate voice chanting from the audience filled with poor Kabyle immigrants resonated in the hearts of the audience. Includes Japanese commentary and obi.
