日本フリージャズ史のレジェンド・吉沢元治。本作は、吉沢のエレクトリック・パフォーマンスの初録音作。ディレイやピッチシフターといったエフェクト処理を駆使しての用いての一人多重奏という色彩が強く、その表現はエレクトリックへの宗旨替えというよりも、吉沢のコントラバス・ソロの代表作『割れた鏡または化石の鳥』や『インランド・フィッシュ』などのコントラバス・ソロの延長線上にある。フリージャズのみならず、即興、現代音楽、ジャズと、コントラバス音楽全体を対象に演奏を行ってきたコントラバスの名奏者であった吉沢にとって、表現枠の拡大の契機となった作品。1991年録音、PSF原盤の再発。
