Welcome to the greatest hell of sheer numbers yet. "Earth Defense Force 6.2: Invaders from Another World" is an enhanced and revised version of "Earth Defense Force 6." Reworked specifically for the capabilities of PS5, it upgrades and expands numerous elements. With evolved visuals and new additions, even soldiers who have already endured the brutal battlefields of "EDF6" can experience the game with a fresh perspective. The abbreviated "EDF6.2IFAW" opens onto battlefields unlike anything seen before. [New Feature 1. More enemies] The number of enemies is roughly doubled, creating an overwhelming sense of despair. The "Earth Defense Force" series is known for the despair of enormous hordes bearing down on players and the exhilaration of wiping them out. In "EDF6.2 IFAW," that despair reaches an all-time high. Enemy numbers, already overwhelming, are increased even further, reaching approximately twice or more the volume of "EDF6" at their peak. The unique despair created by the EDF series sets a new record here, and the resulting exhilaration is even greater. [New Feature 2. Weapon modification] Acquired weapons can now be customized. New items appear when enemies are defeated. Newly introduced item boxes contain devices that strengthen weapons. A variety of customization options allow players to equip acquired items to weapons and improve their performance, making weapon collection even more enjoyable and enabling modifications suited to individual tactics. [New Feature 3. Renewed missions] Missions have been rebuilt and rebalanced to return to the series' roots: the terror of overwhelming numbers of enemies. More than half of the existing missions have been renewed to accommodate the greater enemy numbers and new elements. Formidable enemies that appeared only in the additional DLC missions for "EDF6" now also appear in the main game, and naturally in greater numbers. [New Feature 4. 過去最大の物量地獄へようこそ。――『地球防衛軍６.２ INVADERS FROM ANOTHER WORLD』は、一言でいえば『地球防衛軍６』のパワーアップ改変版だ。ＰＳ５のスペックに特化した改変を行い、様々な要素がパワーアップ、そしてボリュームアップする。ビジュアル面が進化し、そして追加要素を導入し、すでに『ＥＤＦ６』で過酷な戦場に身を置く隊員たちこそ新鮮な気持ちでプレイすることが可能だろう。略して『ＥＤＦ６.２ＩＦＡＷ』には見たこともない戦場が広がっている。■新要素1.敵増量：敵の物量が約２倍のスーパー絶望感。『地球防衛軍』シリーズといえば、「巨大な敵が大量に押し寄せる絶望感と、それらの敵を一掃する爽快感」が魅力である。絶望感が大きいほど爽快感が増すのである。本作『ＥＤＦ６.２ＩＦＡＷ』では、シリーズ過去最大の絶望感が実現する。ただでさえ多い敵の物量なのに輪をかけて増量。最大時には『ＥＤＦ６』比でおおよそ２倍以上となる。ＥＤＦシリーズが作り上げた唯一無二の絶望感は、本作で新記録を更新、超絶望感となる。そしてプレイヤーの爽快感は爆発することだろう。■新要素2.武器改造：取得した武器はカスタマイズする時代へ。より大群になって襲い掛かる敵に対して、ＥＤＦは対抗できるのかと心配になった隊員達に良い知らせがある。敵を倒した際に出現するアイテムに新要素が導入される。武器カスタマイズだ。新たに導入となるアイテムＢＯＸからは、武器を強化するための装置が入手可能。様々なカスタマイズ要素が存在し、取得したアイテムを武器にセットして性能の強化が可能だ。武器の取得が楽しいゲームに、さらに自分の戦術に合わせた好みの改造が可能となった。■新要素3.ミッションのリニューアル：ミッションの再構築/再調整。「圧倒的な数量の敵が襲い来る恐怖」への原点回帰へ。敵の増量や新要素の導入に即して、既存ミッションの半数以上をリニューアル。また、『ＥＤＦ６』の追加ＤＬＣミッションでのみ登場した手ごわい敵がゲーム本編にも出現。しかも増量されていることは言うまでもない。■新要素4.未知なる敵：新たな敵＆新たなミッションを追加。まだ見ぬ未知の敵が出現する。完全新作のミッションも追加となる。詳しいことはまだ明せないが、これまでとは異なる何かが起こることは間違いない。【CERO年齢別レーティング: 審査予定】
