Who Loves The Sun

Formed in Oklahoma City, US in 2019, the band has attracted attention with a staggering number of EPs and limited releases, as well as frenzied live shows charged with madness. While following in the noise rock tradition of predecessors such as BIG BLACK and THE JESUS LIZARD, they season it with industrial and post-punk elements, unleashing a heavy, sludgy sound with a Nu Metal-like groove. Capturing the anxiety and fear of the end of the world, and making no attempt to hide their political stance, they hammer out a soundtrack for today's chaotic age from the darkest depths of an ailing America. In February 2026, they released a limited single on Sub Pop, and their one-of-a-kind performance at their first Japan show in June was met with an ecstatic response. This is their first new studio album in two years. Further sharpening their established direction while also incorporating catchiness, the band takes everything to the next level. The unexpected stylishness of the music video for the lead single "Deep Blue" is already creating a buzz, and in the heavy music scene, a breakthrough on the level of recent DEAFHEAVEN is considered all but certain. The Japanese edition exclusively adds two bonus tracks, including a cover of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, and will be released in Japan ahead of the rest of the world!
