[Machine Translation] Sarara Ogawa is making great strides as an actress, appearing in NHK's 2019 TV series "Manpuku" and starring in Katsuyuki Motohiro's film "Beautiful Dreamer" in 2020. In addition to her acting career, she studied under Hirokazu Kore-eda while a student at Waseda University, and all three of the independent films she directed were selected for film festivals, earning her a high reputation as a director. This is her first feature-length film as a completely original director. The 18-year-old high school student Hana is played by Misuke Ogawa, whose performance in "Brain Paradise" (2020, directed by Masashi Yamamoto) was much talked about. Harumi, with whom Hana has a heart-to-heart relationship, will be played by Rua Hanada, who was selected through a local audition. Also playing Hana's caretaker, Taka, is played by Serizawa Kohto, Hana's classmate Kanta is played by Fukusaki Nayuki, and Hana's mother is played by Yamada Kinuwo. --Hana (Misuke Ogawa), an 18-year-old girl who grew up in a house where children with no relatives live, is in the last summer of her life there. Then, an 8-year-old girl named Harumi (Hanada Ryua) comes to live there. Hana sees her former self in Harumi, and as she spends time with her, feelings that she has never felt before begin to bud.

2019年NHK連続テレビ小説『まんぷく』に出演し、2020年には、本広克行監督の映画『ビューティフルドリーマー』で主演をつとめ女優として大躍進中の小川紗良。女優活動の傍ら、早稲田大学在学中に是枝裕和監督に師事し、メガホンをとった自主映画3作品全てが映画祭入選を果たすなど、監督としても高い評価を受けている。本作は、そんな彼女が完全オリジナルで挑む初の長編作品となる。そして、18歳の高校生・花を演じるのは『脳天パラダイス』(2020/山本政志監督)での演技が話題となった小川未祐。花が心を通わせる晴海を現地オーディションで選ばれた花田琉愛が演じる。また、花を世話する児童指導員・タカ兄役を芹澤興人、花の同級生・貫太役を福崎那由他、花の母親役を山田キヌヲが演じる。――身寄りのない子供たちが暮らす家で育った18歳の花(小川未祐)は、そこで暮らせる最後の夏を迎えていた。そこに8歳の少女・晴海(花田琉愛)が入所してくる。かつての自分を重ねた花は、晴海と過ごすうちに今までに無かった感情が芽生えてゆく。
