Description

Three top-tier jazz musicians perform completely improvised music at Taro Okamoto's atelier. Ko Omura, Ryosuke Hashizume, and Toru Nishijima release their new album "Prana"! An intelligent, fresh ensemble born entirely from improvisation by these three formidable musicians! A one-of-a-kind sound brimming with vitality is sculpted into the tranquil space. This album documents a session in which the three, gathered at Taro Okamoto's atelier, improvised completely without any prior discussion or rehearsal; it captures not only trio performances but also each musician's solo and three duo pairings in different combinations. Built on an acoustic sound centered around Ko Omura's tabla, it incorporates rare instruments such as the lyricon, suling, and daxophone to create a richly expressive, one-of-a-kind sound.
