Description

[Machine Translation] The first volume is "Russian Pianism," selected by Taiichi Sato, the author of the famous book "Genealogy of Russian Pianism" and a leading researcher on Scriabin in Japan. It includes the definitive piano performance by Scriabin himself (recorded on the piano roll in 1910), unique performances by Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev, the great composers of his time, legendary Russian pianists Igumnov and Golidenweisel, and masterpieces by Feinberg and Sofronicky, who were said to be most like the composer's temperament. This is a must-have disc that offers a panoramic view of the history of Scriabin's performances, featuring masterful performances by Sofronicky and others. It also includes many world premiere recordings, including live recordings by J. Isserlis, who left behind a collection of 24 preludes, blind pianist L. Zyugin, and Fiodorova.

Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
