Despite all the negativity that the first track has attracted, I am proud to say that I have absolutely NO problem with the first track. I'm glad to hear Kaya sing to a different style of music. "Masquerade" is simply a fabulous track, every bit as good as "Psycho Butterfly". They bring the single to perfect balance, like a double-edged sword, yin and yang, or peanut butter and jelly. Many people need to realize that Kaya is not a musician, but a singer. The emphasis is to be placed on his voice rather than the music, unlike bands. He can sing to whatever style he feels he needs to, and has skillfully and successfully chosen jazz to accent his voice. His message is clearly heard and continues to astonish his fans.

This is Kaya's second single which he's taken a jazzy twist with the title track Masquerade. It's a unique track but my definite favorite of the single is Psycho Butterfly which is more of Kaya's dance/techno goodness.

"Masquerade" is an average song. It's not great, but not bad. I didn't like it the first time I heard it due to its jazzy-ness, but after a few more listens, I started to like it. "Psycho Butterfly", on the other hand, is very good. Personally, I feel that he should have made this the star track, and not a B-side. It does have a Schwarz Stein feel to it, as some have mentioned. It complements the first track well. Do not miss this single. You will later regret it.

Kaya's vocals remain strong with this second solo release, but the music fails him. I feel like he should be singing something more hauntingly beautiful. Masquerade is a wonderful, jazzy song,and Kaya's voice reaches far. But I just don't feel like he's found the right person toe create music for his remarkable voice and personal style. I hope to hear better works in the future!

This album is amazing. At first it took me a while to get use to the Jass tune taht Kalm and Kaya had put together. I was really amaze, yet, I though it was great. Specially after reading Kaya's interview, it was wonderful. Masquerade was reallly a change. But, psycho butterfly, simple amazing! Kalm and Kaya really outdid themselves. It complete captivated me and I coldnt be more proud to call them my idols. hehe ^^

Kaya has an amazing voice and he showed it off yet again in this wonderful CD! Though I didnt really like Masquarade much, Psycho Butterfly captured me...I cant stop listening to it...such a wonderful song! Also i liked that the lyrics were translated in English( though not preofessionally)!! It was nice to understand what songs were about! I think all recording artist should do that. ^__^ Anyways, its must buy item! <3

Kaya is a great artist with a gorgeous voice, and his solo projects are amazing. But I was a little startled, and at first dissapointed with the track "Masquerade". The jazzy tune through me off. I hadn't liked it at first, but the more I listen, the more I like it. "Psycho Butterfly" is a MUST LISTEN TO song. It was a catchy melody with a danceable beat, and it will stay in your head for a week or two. or three.

This is the second single from Kaya. (Schwarz Stein vocalist). The "Masquerade" theme is jazz pop, very normal style. I prefer the B-side, "Psycho Butterfly", is like Schwarz Stein style. KAYA is very Good.

I'm in love with Kaya's works since he sang in Schwarz Stein. I was very surprised & pleased when I heard his first solo single "Kaleidoscope". I'm now waiting his 2nd single with confidence : it will be a good CD, I'm sure. For those who love Schwarz Stein, try Kaya's solo career !
