[Machine Translation] ? Music that sounds in a place where light shines dimly? Nostalgic and elegant, an elixir of sound, "Variations of Shade" is a compilation of soothing music for the new age of sound, selected and supervised by Toshihiro Ikeda, a new age buyer at Tower Records Shinjuku store. p*dis has sold more than 10,000 copies in total for the series. This latest release in the p*dis compilation series is a sequel to the hit post-classical compilation "Variations of Silence"! The dignified yet serene intellectual beauty of this string quintet of piano, electronics, violin, viola, and cello is unique to Max Richter. In recent years, the ongoing music post-classical/modern classical performed by cutting-edge musicians from around the world. It is now attracting the most attention as a new generation of acoustic music that combines the contemporary sensibility of post-electronica with the essential compositions of classical music. The previous album "Variations of Silence," based on the theme of "Silence," was highly acclaimed as an introductory and definitive album containing many masterpieces by Goldmund and other leading composers in the scene. This year's release includes a wide range of pieces that incorporate not only piano and strings, but also more diverse instrumental arrangements and songs, in pursuit of a higher level of perfection. The theme of the compilation is "shadows" woven by light and shadow, and it is a more beautiful compilation that captures the subtleties of the heart, expressing more delicate and graceful emotions and vivid poetic sentiments through contrasts of light and dark. The album includes many previously unreleased and hard-to-find songs by some of today's hottest composers, such as Nils Frahm and Peter Broderick. The music is a collection of out-of-this-world moments of beauty. This is a pure and pleasant album that shows us that even shadows have colors.
