The shock of the name of December 8! Formed in May 2001 by Kihara (guitarist/vocalist) and Mizuki (dr.), the band started its activities as a 3-piece guitar rock band. One month after their formation, they played their first show at Kichijoji Silver Elephant. In December, the band expanded its activities to Shimokitazawa, playing two or three shows a month, and in July 2002, Takako joined the band. In November 2002, they performed in front of about 5,000 people. In December of the same year, they participated in the compilation "DEEPER THAN ORANGE" by GARAGE and Normadic Records with ( 1 ) "Remain in Light", which attracted a lot of attention for its unique world. Their independent event 20/20VISION is always packed. Their style, which combines two melancholy guitars and lyrics that cry out about the madness and loneliness of city dwellers, is unique in the scene, and their powerful venom, wavering between sanity and crushing insanity, is so theatrical and shocking. ACIDMANを送りだし、名古屋のARROWSを全国区にしたノーマディックレコードから、渾沌とするシーンに送りだす超絶問題作。拒絶か?服従か?12月8日という名の衝撃!★Gt・VoのキハラとDr.のミヅキを中心に2001年5月結成。3ピースのギターロックバンドとして活動を始める。結成1ヶ月後には吉祥寺シルバーエレファントで初ライヴ。同年9月カワイ加入。12月には活動範囲を下北沢に広げ月2、3本ペースでライブを行っていく。2002年7月タカコが加入。2002年11月には"佐賀インターナショナルバルーンフェスタ"のイベントステージに出演。約五千人の前で演奏した。同年12月GARAGEとノーマディックレコードによるコンピ『DEEPER THAN ORANGE』に(1)「リメイン・イン・ライト」で参加、その余りに個性的な世界が話題をよぶ。自主イベント20/20VISIONは毎回満員を記録。憂いを帯びた2本のギターサウンドと、都会に住む者の狂気と孤独を叫ぶ歌詞が一体となったスタイルはシーンでは異彩を放ち、その正気とぶちきれそうな狂気の狭間を揺れ動く、強力な毒気があまりにも劇画チックで衝撃的。果たして世間は拒絶するのか?服従するのか?
