The Water Taste Of Blood

Swedish metal band ELEINE have completed their fifth new album, "The Water Taste Of Blood". Armed with thrashy guitar riffs, a heavy groove, and intense vocals, it is an all-out work that pursues sound even heavier and more aggressive than before. ELEINE began their activity in 2014, centered on vocalist Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg, and have released four full albums so far. They have steadily built a solid record of achievement, including reaching No. 1 on the Swedish sales chart, and after sharing stages with acts such as Arch Enemy, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, and W.A.S.P., they have now grown into a band that successfully carries out its own headline tours. On their 2024 European tour, several shows sold out, and in the spring of 2025 they set out on their second headline tour. On "The Water Taste Of Blood", ELEINE take in the essence of 90s groove metal while further evolving their own sound. The themes running through the album are lies, betrayal, loneliness, and the resilience to rise up from them. Behind the words "I gave you everything, and what I received in return was betrayal" lies pain, and this album hammers into heavy, fierce sound a message about turning that pain into strength and rising up again. Through songs such as "Watch As We Rise", "Empire Of Lies", and "We March", ELEINE forcefully urge listeners to "take back your own life". With about 700,000 followers across social media and streaming platforms and more than 60 million YouTube video views, ELEINE have built a strong bond with their fans around the world, the "Legion". Their further-evolved latest work, "The Water Taste Of Blood", carries the elements of 90s groove metal and an overwhelming attitude full of strong will.
