The Money Makers

[Machine Translation] Jackie Mittoo, one of the most important artists in reggae history and a founding member of the Skatalites along with Don Drummond and Roland Alphonso, is extremely rare, and his original releases on his own label fetch high prices at overseas auctions. Jackie Mittoo's rarest album is probably "Stepping Tiger" released in 1979 (also unCDed), but this is the next rarest album. The content of this album is really simple: orthodox roots reggae tracks with Jackie's keyboards and a female chorus. All 10 tracks are reggae instrumental numbers. For example, the first track, "Casa Nova," is the same track as the first track on the "Macka Fat" album released on Studio One. However, the keyboard melody and arrangement are completely different, and it is surprising how much the same rhythm can change the image of the song. Other nice tracks such as "Gimme Little Sunshine" (track 3) and "I Hear You Madagascar" (track 6) are also featured on the album, with the heavy reggae rhythm and Jackie's unique keyboards matching perfectly. A masterpiece dedicated to all reggae fans is finally available as an official product.

Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
