I got this as a birthday present for my friend, and when we listened to it I pretty much fell in love with this cd ^.^

Oh My God.. Gackt's first album! When that was.. 2000.. ah... memories.. Songs, melodies, lyirics.. emotions.. If asking me, maybe his best album. In that times he trully was the God of Music.

The songs are melodious and much more emotional...It's worth for the fans to grab this (in fact all his albums >_< )

I've been a fan of Gackt-sama for a few years now and while I enjoy all his music, MARS is my favorite, it has a great balance between the songs.

This CD is great! It's my first Gackt-cd, and I'm really happy I bought it. ^^ I love all the tracks on it!

I enjoy listening to Gackt's Mar cd very much! He has a strong, wonderful voice and his songs are beautifully composed! His music definitely grabs my attention! I like the cool artwork of cd cover, as well! I really like Emu ~for my dear~ (track 3). I just got in my head and was stuck there for quite a bit of time! I like Vanilla (track 5), also! The beat of that song just makes a person want to dance to it! (Though I can't dance! HAHA!!!) In the end, all the songs are great! I am a fan of Gackt's work! He does a wonderful job! I look forward to his next new work! Thank you very much!

This Cd has several beautiful songs. I enjoyed it very much! Gackt has a beautiful falsetto in Ares. Vanilla is always a favourite as well. This CD has a good range of songs, from soft and acoustic to more harder track. And the Cd cover is exceptionally beautiful. It has a plastic sleeve that slides off. Overall, I loved it. ^_^

This is the best album from Gackt hands down and has all my favorite songs on it including: Oasis, Vanilla, Mirror and Asrun Dream. If you don't have this album already then there's really no time like the present to buy it. No, seriously, pick this album up.

This album is very good. Fans old and new will both enjoy it very much. One of my personal favorites!

MARS is the album for every fan just starting out. It gives you the main idea of what you can expect from Gackt. I've been a fan for six years now. So, if you want to get into Gackt, This is the album for you.

This is probably one of his better albums, it has an interesting mix of songs and very original, in my opinion. Though, I would say this album is more 'pop' than it is 'rock'. All in all, a great album. One of my favorites.

This is the first and one of the best album of this excellent artist. MARS is strong and beautiful at the same time. If You don't know Gackt, start from this CD, and You will know Him...

the cd is magnificently done and will probably remain my favorite among his works..it has an interesting blend of upbeat and orchestral songs,which i think show just how versitle he really is...when i first got it i listened to it for 2 months straight and never got tired of it..(still am not tired of it) i never skipped track..this was definitly a monumental start for him..i highly recogmend it to all gackt fans and those that arent..

I discovered Gackt a couple of years ago with "The Sixth Day". As I've heard nothing but good things about "Mars", I decided to pick it up. What a treat this album was as it is nice to hear the original versions of songs like "Vanilla" and "Oasis". VERY recommended.

...and it doesn't cease to impress! With a prefect blend of both heavy and easy-listening rock, along with strong and emotional vocals and incredible music, MARS is a must-buy!

This is my all-time favorite Gackt album. "Vanilla" is raw, sexy song that hits you in the gut and you just can't help but love. "U+K" is a fun, energenic song with adorable "nya's" randomly mixed in. "Oasis" is another good one with very interesting music used to make it even more intriging. "Dears" has a beautiful violin opening, then a soft guitar and vocals that lead into an exploding musical and vocal chorus where the upbeat tone stays until the end. "Emu -for my dears-," again, has beautiful music that serenades you right from the begining and Gackt's voice grabs you and takes you away.

Wow! This was my first first Gackt CD and I was shocked the first time I heard it. Gackt can hit the low AND high notes in a heart beat. He is truly a talented man and this CD shows us that. Plus, it has "Vanilla" on track five. :) That song is a classic.

when I first heard Gackt in Malice Mizer I was blown away. His vocal range is amazing. This is a pretty upbeat record, love it. Only negative thing is... dont listen to this while you're doing homework, very distracting!

One of Gackt's best albums by far, Mars has a little of everything for everyone. From "Ares" which is a short, yet beautiful peice using Gackt's beautiful vocals and a guitar, to "U+K" which is the ultimate Jpop song that just makes you want to dance with giant cats. Also, "Freesia" both openings, are soft and interesting to listen to. "Mirror" has been an all time favorite, and once you hear it you'll know why. I agree, it's a must for any Gackt fan.

Well, I'm really happy that MARS was released again so I could get my copy. It's his first, and one of his best albums. In fact, it's considered by most fans as his best one. It contais my top 3 favorite songs from him("EMU~for my dear~", "Asrun Dream" and "dears"), plus other great and well-known ones, like "Vanilla", "OASIS", and "Mirror"(I think Gackt himself REALLY likes this song...). The last track is really beautiful. "kono DARE mo inai HEYA de" is a calm, and touching song, perfect for the end of the album. I would like to rate the tracks: 1. Ares - 6 2. Asrun Dream - 10 3.
