I'd recommend this CD to all of my music aficionados. Yukihiro "Chachamaru" Fujimura is an amazing guitarist and vocalist!!! I've had the marvelous good fortune to be present for "Muddy Waters," Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Yes, David Bowie, Elton John, etc. and I'd still choose this CD over them all. That says it all...

I puchased this CD on the strong recommendations of the reviewers here and they were absolutely on target. Thank you!!! Chachamaru is one smoking guitar player who is severely underrated. He combines the best of hard rock with a distinctly progressive edge and this CD was the result. I went in not knowing what to expect and found myself in a lush sonic soundscape that ranks right up there with the best prog bands. Though my favorite track so far is 'As' with its haunting, smoky quality, I was totally blown away by the mean and gritty blues-rock of 'Grieve'. Aerosmith would indeed be proud. I didn't even care if the words were in Japanese, his voice was just raw and gritty and blew me away. And what better way to showcase Chacha's incredible virtuosity than by awesome CD packaging--glorious artwork, a cool cover and now for my fangirl moment (lol)--Chacha is just sooo sexy. Yes, I like my rocker boyz pretty but with an edge. Overall, even if you are not a J-Rock fan, this CD is worth having if you love good rock music.

For those of you who have listened to either Toshi's (X Japan) or Gackt's solo projects, then you know who Chahcamaru is. He is an amazing guitarist, and now it is proven that he is an amazing vocalist. With powerful lyrics and wonderful guitar work, it is a definate buy for anyone who is a fan of him. Plus Gackt fans, there is a bonus song can Kagero on the cd that Gackt gave his powerful vocals to sing.

Goodness I was late when it came to snagging some of Chacha's solo work, but I'm very glad I did. While I may be a Gackt fan, the track "Kagero" (which Gackt lent his voice to) wasn't the reason I decided to take this little leap of faith. For a good time I had wanted to see what Chacha could do solo. I was not disappointed. Truly, this is a spectacular CD. My only gripe is that Chachamaru hasn't put out a solo work SINCE! His vocals surprised me quite a bit, they give off this almost nostalgic 80's-90's rocker vibe. The compositions in and of themselves are also absolutely wonderful. W here packaging is concerned... it's just plain neat and hologram like. It's hard to tell via pictures, but it's pretty nicely packaged. And frankly, the music encased within most certainly deserved quality packaging. If you consider yourself a fan of Chachamaru, Gackt, or are just plain curious... I strongly urge you to take the same leap of faith I did. You will not be disappointed.

If you are a fan of Gackt, or happen to know Chacha, this is a DEFINATE PICK-UP!!! His guitar work is amazing, and is sure to mezmorize you with his talent

It's certainly something different. You can hear a lot of similarity between Chachamaru and Gackt's music, since Chacha does a lot of the arrangements for Gackt. Chachamaru has a good voice, although higher than that of Gackt's. The music is more on the rock side, than soft. Sometimes, his voice does sound a little rough. It has good beat. Maybe the songs go on too long, but it's good. And the song "Kagero" which Gackt performs as a guest vocalist, is simply beautiful! that song alone is worth buying the album. It will make you feel like ... floating on Air. and the pictures of Chachamaru a pretty too.

Chacha is such a gifted guitarist. He embodies progressive rock music beautifully. I love how on this CD you can dive into his vision and how he writes music. It's amazing how powerful Chacha's voice is. This CD is a must for anyone who's a fan of progressive rock. Chacha certainly has maintained his own style in this genre through the years and AIR is a beautiful example.

I cannot explain why exactly I like the way this man writes his songs...but the fact is that I can listen to this album over and over again in a day without getting tired of it, no tracks excluded. It's beautiful. Chacha has one of the coolest and more wonderful way to play his guitar(s) that I've ever heard. He's also a passionate singer, and he shows well all of his skills on every song he plays and(or) sings. I'm getting really interested on his previous works, now, thanks to this little marvel!
