Original Soundtrack for the first Patlabor movie composed by Kenji Kawai. Recommended for all Kenji Kawai fans. Very suitable music completely integrated with the movie scene. You can better appreciate this CD viewing the movie but the composer sign is unmistakable !!! Great !!!

Animation Soundtrack
This is the re-edition of patlabor movie 1 OST. This album is basic in your CD anime colletion. I like the musician Kenji Kawai. This album remembers another works like "devilman" (my favourite). The best songs are the oppening theme and the ending.
I've wanted this album for some time because of two specific songs from the movie. Unfortunately, the quality of most of songs ranges from incredible to boring to incredible again while others are just forgettable. This album had the potential to be great however there just wasn't enough consistency in the better songs. Still, I recommend it to anyone who likes good music.
This limited re-release of the Kenji Kawai "Patlabor the Movie" Soundtrack is a welcome relief to both Patlabor and Kenji Kawai fans worldwide. This awesome soundtrack to a brilliant film has been unavailable for some time. For Patlabor fans, this is a more "matured" Patlabor soundtrack. For Kawai fans, this is a reasonably early soundtrack in his career with a good deal of moody depth. For fans of both (like myself), it is a soundtrack that MUST be owned. The fact that it is a limited means fans best hurry - who knows when it might be available again.
