Tetsuji Hayashi Columbia Years

[Machine Translation] Tetsuji Hayashi, who made his debut as a singer-songwriter in April 1973, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his debut in 2023. While influenced by Western music, Hayashi's songs are characterized by melodies that touch the heartstrings of Japanese people, and his sense of style is universal, touching the hearts of listeners even beyond the ages. In recent years, his songs have been highly acclaimed overseas, especially "Midnight at the Door," sung by Miki Matsubara, which has played a leading role in the city pop boom. On the other hand, Tetsuji Hayashi has also composed many songs in the field of theme songs for anime songs and special effects, most of which have been released by Columbia. This collection consists of two CDs of pop songs and anime/tokusatsu theme songs from Tetsuji Hayashi's extensive output for Columbia, and includes a booklet that provides a bird's-eye view of his career. The booklet includes an interview with Tetsuji Hayashi, lyrics and commentary for all songs on the album, as well as a selection of songs and commentary by anthologist Takashi Hamada.
