San [Regular Edition] Customer Reviews
Kagrra,
This CD is absolutely amazing! Before I bought it, I had only listened to Satsuki and that song alone, was enough to capture my attention. Kagrra in general has a really good sound - it's like butter to the ears! nwn Every single tune is very lovely, and it has all been collected in this one very beautiful work.
The music on this cd is great!! I'll be looking into more albums by Kagrra. Track #4 is my favorite.
This is yet another fantastic Kagrra, album. The first few tracks take some time to get used to, but the rest is smooth sailing (especially Satsuki...!!) Isshi's voice is perfectly lovely... as usual. Akiya also does a fantastic job on guitar, and Nao... well, Nao's always perfect! This CD has especially nice rhythems and melodies, too. Over all, this is a really awesome CD! If you have any doubts about purchasing it, DISPEL THEM!
This is probably one of Kagrra's better albums. My friend who is a fan told me to get this one to start out, and I am glad I did! I agree their music is very unique. At first I didn't know what to think, but Kagrra is easily growing on me with their beautiful sound. San, Haru Urara, and Shizuku should def. be in your collection.
One of the best albums from Kagrra! Then again, they had quite a few. ^^ A must-buy for kagrra fans! I love this album and kept listening to it.
This is my first, and probably my last Kagrra, cd. Of course, it's really great, but Kagrra, songs sound very much the same, and too much the same for me. But each song is really full of beautiful melody and Isshi's voice is perfect for this style. it's a mix of traditional Japanese and modern rock, and it's refreshing. The sound, also, is great. I can really hear the instruments in different speakers, and it sounds just awesome! The Kagrra, sound is unique, and beautiful, but one cd is enough for me. If this is your first Kagrra, cd, then I would recommend this. And if you already love Kagrra, then this is also for you. Or if you're looking for something new, then try it. It's really a lengthy album, with enough songs to keep you busy awhile. But, if you don't like monotonous songs, then I wouldn't try it. but all the songs are soothing, somehow.
To be honest, I was quite sceptical of Kagrra,'s San when I first had heard of it. It is true that the band has moved from their indie ways however they did this without falling into the cheesey rock/pop trap that most bands do fall into into when selling their souls to major record labels. It is debateable among fans of just how much their style has changed, and San illustrates just how much the band has grown. An honourable mention would have to go to the following songs: Satsuki for artfully mixing vocals, guitar acoustics and strings so beautifully. Bofura like the name is alarming and by far Kagrra,'s heavier songs. And lastly, Meguru. It is a truly wonderful song. Its highlight would be the koto played by Shin. There is a greater presence of rock throughout the album and each song comes out as strong as the last. No disappointments. I am happy to say that Kagrra, has managed to have blossomed into a band so much more grander in their latest album but at the same time continue to sustain their unique neojapanesque style.
incredible album truely one of their best it was even better then Myako this CD brings back the essence of Kagrra and show cases their best songs along with 10+ of their new ones exselent CDs i stil lisin to it even to this day (i bought it 7 months ago)
Amazing album. After Gozen, I was wondering how Kagrra would turn. Would they drop their japanese sound and fall into poppish stuffs? They didn't. San just give you the feeling of travelling through ancient japan, with its love affairs, its geishas, its samourai, there is this song that sound like a battlefield anthem, and this other one like a private encounter between two closet lovers... wonderful powerful and very moving.
By far, my favorite Kagrra, album yet. Unlike previous works, in the sense of the neo japanesque style, it has evolved into a more sophisticated sound that draws in the listener. In "Satsuki", one becomes enamoured by the echoing guitar blending in perfectly with Isshi's voice, which reminds one of a light spring rain. However, not all of the songs have the same feel. While "Boufura" emits more of their traditional neo japanesque sound, "Meguru" has a much more peaceful tone, with dream-like characteristics which leaves the listener absolutely speechless in awe. "Izanai no jukai" is much more up beat, reflecting the tones one can find in previous singles such as "Rin" and "Yotogi Banashi". The tracks transition harmoniously into one another, not leaving the listener wondering what the heck just happened. This is an absolute masterpiece, one of the best Kagrra, albums yet.
