Description

[Machine Translation] This is the second album released in 1981 by Genovia Jeter, niece of the renowned gospel singer Rev. Julius Cheeks, on the prestigious Savoy label. It is a hidden gem of gospel groove, featuring her powerful, church-trained vocals set against a dynamic sound where funk, disco, and soul intersect. In addition to the uplifting title track, the album also features Not Just For Today," her first duet with Glenn Jones, who would later go on to achieve success as an R&B singer. This is an album worth rediscovering from the perspective of DJs and rare groove enthusiasts, transcending the boundaries of time. Liner Notes: Tsuyoshi Hayashi
