Mozart Contrast - Solo Piano Works on Major Key & Minor Key

[Machine Translation] The latest major label debut album by Oliver Schneider, winner of the Budapest International Competition (1998) and the Schumann International Competition (2000), is a fascinating new recording that contrasts Mozart's music according to key! The major piano concertos are music for the masses" and "the solo piano works in minor keys are introspective"? The two discs are based on the view that Mozart's major piano concertos were written with the public in mind and his minor solo piano works were more reflective. The Piano Concerto is Mozart's own authoritative version with no wind instruments, and is intended to be performed more widely by the public (?). ) Mozart's intention is realized. It is a work full of obsessions, but Schnieder's performance, which is dedicated to serving the music and letting the music itself speak for itself, is brilliant, revealing the contrast between major and minor keys. The concerto is backed by the prestigious Camerata Bern, and the strings are gut strings. Erich Howald, concertmaster and soloist of the Vienna Konzentus Musiks and a trusted friend of Arnoncourt, leads the ensemble with a period approach as concertmaster (& artistic director).
