Description

[Machine Translation] Since the release of her first feature film, "River of Glass," in 1994, Kelly Reichardt has quietly maintained her independent style while receiving critical acclaim at film festivals around the world. Although she has not been introduced in Japan for a long time, she made her name known to film fans in Japan through the special screening of "Kelly Reichardt's Films: America Adrift" in 2021, which drew a full house and attracted a great deal of attention. The film is a collaboration with A24, an independent film studio that has produced numerous high-profile films, and is now available on Blu-ray. --The story takes place in Oregon during the frontier days of the West. Cookie, a cook, and King Lou, a Chinese immigrant, come to the frontier in search of the American dream. Both dreaming of success, they naturally hit it off and eventually come up with a daring plan. They steal milk from cows, the first symbol of wealth to arrive in the area, and make a fortune in doughnuts. The trailer is included as a special feature (planned).
