Her husband Tsuyoshi ( Atsuo Nakamura ) is an oil tanker captain and spends a lot of time at sea, so she lives with her daughter Ranko ( Marina Watanabe ) and son Kenji ( Kotaro Miura ) in their house in Morioka. This is a human story that depicts her interaction with the children at Taiyo Elementary School, which has only 60 students, and their mutual growth as they boldly tackle problems at home, with the children, and with the teachers.
