The Prince of Tennis 100 Kyoku Marathon Customer Reviews

This DVD set is a beautiful collection, recording one of the most enjoyable seiyuu events I've ever had the pleasure of watching. The cast is huge - as warranted by the enormous cast of Prince of Tennis - and they all put on amazing performances. The almost 3-hour event features short performances of over 100 Prince of Tennis songs, many complete with costumes, choreography and back-up dancers. This once-in-a-lifetime event is a must-own for any fan of The Prince of Tennis and it's characters and voice actors.

Granted I am not the biggest 'know-it-all' when it comes to Prince of Tennis, but I've got the series and I like a lot of the music and thought to give this DVD a try. I must say I was disappointed and believe the DVD should be re-named to: Samples of 100 Songs from Prince of Tennis (PoT) Marathon as many of the seiyuu's I was waiting for barely performed for over a minute. I was also let down in the fact that unless I knew the ins and outs of everything PoT related, this being the characters and the seiyuu's that voice them, the camera work could of been a little better in allowing the viewer time to see which seiyuu belonged to which character when it came time for the seiyuu to sing and their respected character appeared on screen, but sadly this was not the case. Seeing as I am a Okiayu Ryotarou fan, I was saddened that there just weren't enough Tezuka-centric songs and of course were far too short to even be known as a 'Song' as labelled by the DVD. Nevertheless, if you don't care for such things and you're an avid fan who knows the ins and outs of PoT and loves the music regardless, then by all means purchase away!

I agree with crosswithyou-san. This is really great DVD.. ;3 Personally, I like Hyoutei seiyuu performance so much especially Suwabe-san. They are really awesome!! I love this DVD so much!!

Don't know what the heck Erika is talking about because this is a great DVD. Only the choruses were sung because it would take HOURS to sing 100 songs in their entirety. (Think of how tired the seiyuu would be as well!) It only makes sense that only parts of the song were song. Lots of great songs though there were some songs I wish were sung but weren't. It was great hearing "CROSS WITH YOU" live, which is my all-time favorite song. I nearly cried during "Oblivion..." Tons of seiyuu crack, funny costumes, and Minagawa is adorable! She cried on a few occasions. The special disk contains the two encore songs, the Ya-ki-ni-ku live drama, and behind-the-scenes and rehearsal footage. Personally, I got a little dizzy watching it because the camera kept moving around. Overall, this is a must-buy for all Tenipuri seiyuu fans! We love TENIPURI!

The songs are not complete (WHY?), bad selection of songs (bad voting), some seiyuu do not know how to sing (my ears!!!), several songs are interrupted even by the own seiyuu that seem not know of whom it is the turn to sing when they are all on the stage. Stump the faces public, and I do not understand why, second dvd dont contribute much except for a small seiyuu play. Totally disappointed with this seiyuu event. Las canciones no estan completas (un gran bu), mala seleccion de canciones (vaya votacion), algunos seiyuu no saben cantar, varias canciones son interrumpidas como parte del espectaculo como por los propios seiyuu que parecen no saber de quien es el turno de cantar cuando estan todos sobre el escenario. Se difumino los rastros del publico, y no entiendo del porque, el segundo dvd no aporta mucho salvo una pequena actuacion de los seiyuu. Totalmente decepcionada con este evento.
