Description

[Machine Translation] Composer Ivor Gurney, who studied at Stanford and was a close friend of Herbert Howells, is also known as "The Great Poet" for his many poems, including two collections of poems based on his service experience in World War I. He suffered from bipolar disorder for much of his life, and was also disabled by the war. He suffered from bipolar disorder for much of his life, and was also ill from the war until his death from tuberculosis, and the dark shadow that covered his life seems to be reflected in his music as well, with each of his more than 300 songs taking on a darker hue. The dark shadow that covered his life seems to be reflected in his music, and all of his more than 300 songs are tinged with a darker shade of gloom.
