Description

[Machine Translation] This is a collection of works by Joan Tower, one of America's leading female composers. The Stroke, a somewhat emotional piece dedicated to her brother (who is paralyzed due to an illness) and filled with anger over his illness; the Violin Concerto, a piece written for the famous violinist Elmer Oliveira and an interesting mix of impressionistic and jazz-like elements; and the Violin Concerto, a piece commissioned by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, which is known as an "ensemble without a conductor". Chamber Dances" is a compact work commissioned by the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, an ensemble known as "an ensemble without a conductor" that makes full use of their virtuosity.
Note: This is an import edition (manufactured outside of Japan).
