Phantom of Love [Regular Edition]

The 10th original album, released here as the Regular Edition, is completed in the 30th anniversary year. This is the latest form of EGO-WRAPPIN', revealed little by little through the singles released one after another since the summer of 2025 - "Treasures High", a dance tune with a new kind of Afrobeat, "AQUA ROBE", sweaty and wet in a way that calls ground beat to mind, "phosphorus", which unfolded a dubby and dark world of sound, "Right on Shower", a pop number tinged with the melancholy and flutter of spring, and "RIVIERA", which leads you into another world with a groove where pleasure and chaos intertwine. The sound led by Masaki Mori, who in recent years has also worked on film scores and more, is more genre-less than ever while critically hitting the sweet spot again and again. The vocals of Yoshie Nakano resound freely and unrestrainedly while melting into the world of sound as if led by the varied music. The sense of language, which has grown sharper with the years, is also striking. The album jacket for this work is newly illustrated by the picture book author and illustrator Chanky Matsumoto (Aozoratei).
