Flutist Cocomi, who debuted in 2022 on the prestigious New York label DECCA GOLD and marks her 5th anniversary as an artist in 2026, releases her 5th album. 2026 marks the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth, and Cocomi says this work is one where listeners can savor Mozart's many different expressions. It contains all of the Flute Quartets, celebrated works of chamber music in which the flute's beautiful melody blends with the rich sound of violin, viola, and cello. Joining her is violinist Ryota Higashi, who won first place at the 88th Music Competition of Japan and is active in a wide range of settings including as a soloist, in chamber music, and as a guest performer with orchestras, and who was in charge of the violin performance for the protagonist Aono Hajime in the anime "Blue Orchestra". Also joining are Meguna Naka, who has drawn international acclaim as the violist of Quartet Amabile and is also known as a former principal violist of the New Japan Philharmonic, and cellist Yusuke Yabe, who holds honors including second place at the Music Competition of Japan and first place at the All Japan Student Music Competition, and who is also active as a member of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. Through this collaboration with these accomplished players, a fresh, delicate ensemble has been born, one in which the musicians seem to converse with each other. The Limited Edition comes with a bonus DVD (approx. 14 min.) containing the music video for the "1st Movement of No. 1" and an interview video with Cocomi. [Performers] Cocomi (flute), Ryota Higashi (violin), Meguna Naka (viola), Yusuke Yabe (cello). Recorded in April 2026 in Tokyo.
