A beautiful guitar and piano duo work recorded in 1988 by legendary guitarist Mick Goodrick, regarded as a mentor by Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell, Julian Lage, John Scofield, and Mike Stern, together with Fred Hersch, one of the leading poetic pianists of the modern era, released by ECM. Although Goodrick passed away in 2022, this work presents inspired performances of his signature composition that gives the album its title, along with Goodrick originals, two Steve Swallow compositions "Falling Grace" and "Amazing," Johnny Green's "Out of Nowhere," Mal Waldron's "Soul Eyes," and the improvisational suite unfolding throughout "Five Excursions." *Please note that this product is delivered on or after the release date.
