After the darkness of "Godzilla vs. Hedorah" comes this bright and colorful adventure inspired by the popular manga format. Our hero is a comic book artist who stumbles upon an alien invasion plot with the help of his butt-kicking female agent. And yes, Godzilla and Angillas talk, but unlike the English dubbed version, their conversations are in word balloons in keeping with the manga concept. This is the only film in the series without an original score. All of Akira Ifukube's themes are cobbled from previous films, including the maestro's music for the Mitsubishi Pavilion show.
